Georgia VFW Council of Administration wishes everyone a Merry Christmas

A Season of Gratitude, Service, and Unity

As the Christmas season is upon us, I want to take a moment to wish each of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season. This is a time for faith, family, friends, and, if we’re being honest. maybe one more piece of pie than the doctor would recommend.

While many of us are blessed to gather around the table, open gifts, and enjoy a little well-earned rest, we pause to remember those who cannot. We keep our deployed service members close to our hearts, men and women standing the watch far from home so that we may celebrate in peace. To their families, who carry the extra weight during the holidays, please know that your sacrifice does not go unnoticed, and you are never alone in the VFW family.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to those who must work through the holidays to keep our communities safe and running – our first responders, medical professionals, utility workers, dispatchers, and all essential personnel. While others are unwrapping presents, you are answering calls, pulling shifts, and doing what needs to be done. You are the reason the rest of us can sleep a little easier, even after too much eggnog.

Christmas reminds us that service, sacrifice, and compassion are gifts that never go out of style. The VFW stands firm in our mission to support veterans, service members, and their families, not just during the holidays, but every day of the year.

May your homes be filled with warmth, your hearts with peace, and your laughter be loud enough to drown out that one relative who insists on telling the same story every year

From my family to yours, thank you for all you do, and may God bless you, our troops, and the great state of Georgia.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
