During National Black History Month, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of Georgia, proudly honors the service, sacrifice, and legacy of Black Georgians who have defended our nation in every conflict.
From the United States Colored Troops trained at Camp Saxton to the Tuskegee Airmen of World War II and the generations of Black service members who have worn our nation’s uniform since, Georgia Veterans have answered the call to duty with courage, professionalism, and honor.
Their contributions helped shape our military, advance equality within the ranks, and strengthen the freedoms we all enjoy today.
The VFW Department of Georgia remains committed to honoring their legacy and ensuring every Veteran is respected, supported, and never forgotten.
We honor their history. We salute their service. We remember their sacrifice.
