Tomorrow, our nation proudly celebrates its 250th birthday; we honor not only the birth of American independence but the enduring light that has guided us since 1776. On this historic Semiquincentennial, we reflect on the principles our Founders set into motion, principles that have been safeguarded, strengthened, and carried forward by generations of American veterans.
To our Veterans: your service has been the steady hand that kept this Republic upright through war, hardship, and change. You have stood watch over the very freedoms first envisioned in Philadelphia, ensuring that the great experiment of liberty continues to shine. Our nation’s stories, triumphs, its resilience, and its character have been shaped by your courage, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to something greater than yourselves.
In the spirit of our Founders, we acknowledge the quiet truths they carried: that freedom is a sacred trust, that duty is a noble calling, and that a nation built on principle must be continually refined by those devoted to its betterment. That same spirit lives in every Veteran who has ever raised their hand and sworn to defend our great country.
As we celebrate this Fourth of July and the 250 years of American independence, may we remember that the true strength of our nation lies in the character of those who serve and still serving now.
