Georgia State Senator Kenya Wicks Awarded 2026 Legislator of the Year

Georgia State Senator Kenya Wicks was honored as the inaugural recipient of the Georgia VFW Legislator of the Year Award during the VFW Department of Georgia State Convention on June 12, 2026. Recognized for her outstanding leadership on behalf of veterans and military families, Senator Wicks played a pivotal role in strengthening protections against unaccredited VA claims agents by helping amend House Bill 108 and introduced Senate Bill 236 to streamline school enrollment for military children transferring into Georgia.
